Mr President, perhaps you would be so kind as to have Mr Langen’s comment of ‘What a liar!

Mr President, there is a big difference between stupid epithets and untruthful epithets.

We want to prevent injustice and now some of those we have helped are turning out to be liars and are themselves driving out minorities.

Let us send a message to those liars in Hungary who claim that Jobbik has and can have no place in the European Parliament, saying that the votes of the three-member Hungarian Jobbik delegation determined that Italy could not be condemned here today by the unjust, discriminatory forces present.

Their undisguised candour gives the lie to those who would deceive voters into thinking that this is a mere tidying-up exercise: it is not.

As Prime Minister of Britain Mr Blair has shown himself to be a liar and a fantasist.

We are waiting for the new figures and it is on those figures that I hope we will base our regulations since, as a famous American journalist said, ‘figures don’t lie, but liars figure’, and how they lie!

One year on, Mr Langen, the country is on the verge of bankruptcy: firstly, social bankruptcy, given that unemployment is set to reach 15% next year, while just yesterday the government passed a bill abolishing collective agreements and today the whole country is on strike and, secondly, economic bankruptcy and, this time the deficit and debt have not been increased by the ‘lying Greeks’ in PASOK and New Democracy; they have been increased by alchemist Commissioners using Eurostat statistics as they so choose so as to increase the debts of the weak and reduce the debts of the strong.

Mr President, Commissioner, ladies and gentlemen, so the spotlight finally shines on the hypocrisy that reigns in the area of international trade on this planet, the dialogue between the cheats, the liars and the thieves.

They are a gaggle of rejects, failures, has-beens, no-marks, liars, dodgy characters and communists, epitomised by the British Commissioner, Mr Mandelson, who lied on his mortgage application form so that he could live above his means; who was twice dumped from the British Cabinet and who is synonymous in his own country with lies, deceit, evasion and spin.

What disgusts me is that Britain’s Prime Minister, the liar Mr Blair, and his rotten and corrupt Labour Government collude with the process of integrating Britain’s armed forces into the planned European army, while pretending to defend Britain’s national interest.

Mr President, your generosity is appreciated although as I am not an economist, nor a statistician, nor a liar I hope, I think I will be quite brief.

Anyone who fails to differentiate between anonymous, civilian-killing criminals and the coalition forces, made up of soldiers risking their lives in Iraq, is quite simply a liar, and I would protest against such lies.

We do not understand why Finnish workers and small entrepreneurs should sweat blood working to pay the debts of gamblers and liars.

What we are doing is not enough to make up for the faults that the European economy has at the moment, and I think that the caricature of blaming everything on the mistakes of the lazy, the lying and the wrong – compared with the virtuous who have no problems – is an extremely dangerous caricature that we must all avoid.
